Design Challenge

Evaluate the structural response of a car wheel rim under representative loading and boundary conditions while identifying critical stress and deformation regions.

Your Contribution

Prepared the wheel-rim model for analysis, defined material properties, generated the finite-element mesh, applied appropriate loads and constraints, and evaluated the simulation results.

Key Result

Determined the total deformation and equivalent von Mises stress distribution, allowing critical regions of the wheel rim to be identified and its structural behaviour to be assessed.

Deliverables

3D CAD model, finite-element mesh, boundary-condition setup, total deformation results, equivalent stress results and simulation report.
